Pickup sports without
the organizing

GoodRec is the largest pickup sports community in the US & Canada, connecting 1M+ players across 50+ cities

Venue & ball sorted

We book the facility and provide the equipment, so everything you need for the game is ready when you arrive. All you have to bring is yourself.

Solo or with friends

Bring your crew, or come alone like most players do. We sort the teams when you arrive to keep the game even.

Guaranteed games

No chasing players or worrying about last-minute dropouts. If someone cancels, we find a replacement so the game can go ahead as planned.

Find your people

Just moved to a new city? Playing sports is a great way to meet new people. Friendships are formed every day at our games.

How it works

  1. Browse games near you

Pick your city and sport — soccer, volleyball or basketball — then see everything on tonight and the rest of the week.

  2. See game details

The day and kickoff time, where it is, the format and setting, and whether spots are open.

  3. Book your spot

One tap, one player. No team to bring, no group chat to start.

Your questions answered

What is pickup?

A pickup game is a one-off game anyone can join. No team to bring, no equipment needed, no season to commit to. Book your spot at a time and place that suits you, then just show up and play.

What sports can I play?

GoodRec runs soccer, basketball and volleyball games. Each game lists its own day, time, location and format, so you can check the details before you decide to play. Which sports run near you depends on your city — the app shows what is available.

How do I check if there are games near me?

Pick your city, then your sport. You will see every game near you with its location, date, time and whether spots are still open.

Can I bring a friend with me?

Absolutely. Have them grab their own spot in the app so we know the numbers. Only people who have paid and are on the game list can play.

Do I need to be at a specific level to join a game?

We play for fun and all skill levels are welcome. You will get a good sweat in without it being too competitive. If a game is for a specific level, it says so in the description.

Do I have to pay for games in advance?

Yes. You claim your spot in the app and pay to reserve it — it is how we know a game has enough players to run. Prices vary by sport, venue and time.

What if I can't make it?

Cancel in the app and your spot comes back as game credit, which you can put towards any future game. The cancellation window is shown on the game itself, so check it before you book.

What is the minimum age to join a game?

The minimum age to play in a game on GoodRec is 18.
