Is pickup soccer indoor or outdoor?
Both. We run games on indoor and outdoor turf fields across the city, and the listing says which one before you book.
Do I need to be good at soccer to play?
No. Games are open to all skill levels, and teams are sorted when you arrive to keep them balanced. If a game is set to a specific level, the listing says so.
What should I bring to a pickup soccer game?
Just yourself and something to play in. We provide the balls and the pinnies, and the field is already booked and paid for.
Where can I find pickup soccer?
There are games all over the city. Check the app to find different locations, times, days and how many spots are left. Pick the one that suits you and claim your spot.
Can I bring a friend with me?
Absolutely. Just have them grab their own spot in the app so we know the numbers. Only people who have paid and are listed on the game are allowed to play, and whether a friend can come and watch is up to the facility.
Do I need to be at a specific level to join a game?
We play just for fun and all skill levels are welcome! You'll get a good sweat in, without it being too competitive. If there is a game with a specific skill level, it will be clearly stated in the description.
Do I have to pay for games in advance?
Yes. You claim your spot in the app and pay to reserve it. It's how we know the game has enough players to run. Prices vary with the venue and the time of the game.
What happens if a game doesn’t fill?
If a game doesn’t have enough players, we cancel it with advance notice and refund your spot as in-app credit you can use on any future game.
What is the minimum age to join a game?
The minimum age to play in a game on GoodRec is 18 years old.
Do you run other sports?
Yes. GoodRec runs pickup soccer, pickup basketball and open play volleyball. Which ones are available depends on the city; the app shows everything running near you.
