really great app for finding a game of amateur football

While I’m new to this app, I can say say it has helped me greatly to connect with new soccer players! The skyline pitch I usually play at was beautiful and I love that I’m able to continue play the game I love. The app itself is extremely easy to use, it connects you with your host and gives you all the necessary directions to the venue. All around a 10/10 experience. Every soccer player in Chicago should have it!

Best app for soccer and other games fans and players

This is a great app for finding/joinig pick-up soccer games in ur city or playing with ur team on a more regular basis. The app is easy to navigate and it clearly indicates the most relevant information needed to register and play the games i.e. the schedule, location, hosts, and team members. A cool feature is ur player profile and stats which are saved so u and other members can see ur records like the total of number of games played. Definitely recommend the app for soccer fanatics.

I enjoy the GR app because it makes it easy to find pick-up games to play soccer in the bay. I enjoy the variety of times & days it has available.

I’ve had a really good experience with GoodRec since moving into NYC this past August. I have been able to meet so many new people which has truly helped me to assimilate into a new city with new surroundings. The community that exists within GoodRec is something that continues to draw me back into playing more. I am able to continue my love for sports postgrad, while meeting others with a shared passion and it’s great!

GoodRec is an AMAZING app, I had been looking for indoor volleyball near me for the longest time to no avail and finally was referred to GoodRec and found an amazing weekly spot to go to. I love the vibes of the people playing and how easy GoodRec made it to find out of there were games in my area.

Best way to play soccer with some very nice people!

I use GoodRec for volleyball in NYC. There’s several sessions every night of the week at all skill levels. The quality control to respect each skill level is pretty good, as hosts can flag players who don’t quite fit the level for a given drop in. For example, I tried an advanced session when I wasn’t quite ready for it a year or two ago and the host flagged me. Then management reached out to me and offered a credit to check out a high intermediate session for free in a very encouraging and respectful way - suggesting that I gain confident on the court and strengthen basic skills. That being said, once I improved over a few months I was able to sign up for advanced sessions so it’s not like they blacklist you or anything. I haven’t attended any clinics yet but they’re always sold out and coached by a guy who played collegiate - I’ve had him as a coach at a different volleyball org and I know from that experience that his clinics are probably valuable. Finally, management is constantly reaching out promoting clinics and other volleyball opportunities, as well as reaching out for feedback which they seem to genuinely respond to and consider. Overall I think the format of the GoodRec drop ins is high quality (14 players and often some people don’t show so it’s easy to do 6s, whereas some other volleyball orgs have 24 people so you’re on for two and off for one throughout the session). Management is responsive and I’ve had positive experiences with all the hosts so far. Glad to have GoodRec in NYC!

This app makes playing sports so easy and enjoyable. You can just select a game and get your shoes on! I can only imagine trying to get together 22 friends to play soccer… Good luck with that! With GoodRec I can play twice a week with no headaches to find players and a proper field - all I have to do is to click a button. The host will bring balls and pinnies, so I really just need to show up and play. The hosts also play a big role in organizing the games and guaranteeing everything will run smoothly, with not slides or bad tackles. There are convenient fields close to my home and I’ve been lucky with the groups I join: people are welcoming, the game environment is competitive but friendly - either if you play well or not, so everyone can have fun. I even made friends out of these games - nice to meet people with similar interests. Overall, I cannot recommend enough this app.

Moving to Minnesota and not knowing anyone to do some of the things I love was quite hard, I love soccer and I find every opportunity to play no matter where I am. GoodRec amazing app to find soccer close to you fast and easy “JUST SHOW UP” couldn’t get any easier. I can now connect with people and play the sport I love thanks to GoodRec.

I like this app because it has made it effortless to find soccer games in my area. Before GoodRec I rarely got to play because I didn’t have enough people to get a game going, but GoodRec fixed that and now I can find games at any time on any day of the week!
